What to Expect
I invite you to either e-mail or call me if you have any questions or would like to book a session. I return phone calls very promptly, within 24 hours. If you have sent an e-mail and you have not received a response I would encourage you to call as some e-mails are blocked by filters.
It is my goal and intention to book an in-person session with you as soon as possible. I do not hold a waiting list. When someone is in crisis I do my best to book a session within three days of our initial contact. If I am not able to meet your immediate needs, we can discuss options to pursue including possible referrals.
Most insurance providers cover the clinical services of my designation (Masters of Social Work [MSW or RSW]). You will need to verify this with your insurance provider. You can also advocate with your provider to cover these services. Within insurance plans, the coverage is typically under Psychotherapy or may be Social Work.
Third-party billing is possible within various agreements I hold with service providers and funding bodies. If you are eligible for services with the following I am happy to accommodate you:
- Blue Cross
- College of Physicians and Surgeons
- Criminal Injuries Compensation Board
- Health Canada Employee Assistance Program
- Internet Child Exploitation (BOOST for Kids)
Cheque, cash or e-transfer can be used for payment. At this time I am not able to provide credit card services. Arrangements can be made for a payment schedule that meets your financial needs.
My fees are available on a sliding scale. To discuss current rates and availability of spots on the sliding scale you are welcome to call me.
If a need arises and you need to cancel a session I ask for 48 hours notice. If you are unable to provide such notice I make every attempt to fill the spot. If I am successful you will not be charged for the session. If however, I am unable to fill your spot I ask for payment for the session.
